I found this little space via Pinterest and I absolutely love everything about it. The pale blue door that became a mirror with the beautiful French style chair. Love.

Atrium House!

I found the Atrium House, by MESH Architectures, via Design Milk today. I love that the house was built with a courtyard right in the middle of it. The Brooklyn home also has huge windows all around and big folding glass doors which bring in so much natural light and allow for views of the pretty courtyard.

Purple, Purple, Purple!!!

I have been looking at a lot of purple lately so perhaps that's why this blog post came about. I found lots of fabulous examples for using purple in a room. It really is a beautiful color and is both bright and warm. Enjoy!!
(FYI, the reason for all the purple exposure is because it's my daughter's favorite color AND she wants to be a purple bat for Halloween so mommy is making it happen! Bought my purple fabric today! Thanks High Fashion Fabrics.)

I love the purple on this wall! And the sofa color is extremely complimentary. Beautiful.

 LOVE these chairs!!
(photo from Tchochkes and chairs are from Madeline Weinrib)

You could always paint the ceiling purple too!

Purple curtains and a purple couch. The curtains look great with the other more neutral colors in the room.

The Duncan Chair is beautiful in deep purple.

I adore Isabel Quiroga's Storyteller creation. She took old tables, painted them purple, stacked them and now they serve as shelves. This is so creative and looks fantastic in purple!

You could always go for a purple chandelier!

Stella Love Furniture!

No, my name is not Stella but I do love furniture. More importantly, I love great furniture pieces. I came across the furniture creations from Stella Love today while checking out a new (to me) blog by Second ShoutOut (SS are passionate about vintage contemporary pieces and will have their own online marketplace soon). I adore the Stella Love creations (available through Nube Green)! She uses plaid fabrics and vintage Swiss Army blankets to bring life to these old furniture beauties.... (she also makes clothes!) Enjoy!
Swiss Army Club Pair. Covered with vintage Swiss Army blankets.

The Very Victorian Settee is Very Beautiful! The stripes and the plaid! I love the peek-a-boo plaid on the underside of the cushions.

Channel Back Armchair. I love the gray and yellow together.

Swiss Army Storage Bench. I love this thing! Christmas present anyone? ; )

Dune House

I would first like to thank Contemporist for sharing houses like this one. The first picture I saw of the Dune House (by Jarmund/Vigsnaes Arkitekter) had me hooked. It's so different looking on the outside. It's lines are not perfect and it actually looks a bit weird at times but it's striking, unexpected and interesting. The inside design is very minimal but beautiful and the decor is kept simple but comfy.

It sits on the Suffolk coast.

I love the roof and all the random windows.

Very clean lines inside. I LOVE the concrete floors with the wood ceiling! What a great contrast.

The huge, long windows let in so much natural light and offer spectacular views of the beach.

I am diggin' the crazy ceiling angles. And a bathtub in the bedroom?! YES! And I do love those windows.

I wouldn't mind waking up this view every morning.

HALLOWEEN!!! BOO!

I absolutely LOVE Halloween and it's only 2 weeks away!!! This is my favorite time of year and I have decorated for Halloween since I was a kid. I was searching the web a little while ago to see what great decorating ideas and fun stuff I could find and wanted to share some of what I found with you. SO FUN!!

Love the Happy Halloween banner. An Etsy find from GracieBee.

I love the look of this!! All the pumpkins, the birds and the branches. I will be using some of these ideas. It looks amazing!

I really want this one!! It's a Gourd Jack o' Lantern Candy Bowl from Natskreations. Have the kids reach through the eyes sockets to get their candy!!

This looks awesome!! A bat cave for your little Batman or Batgirl.
(photo from The Decorologist)

I really love all the pumpkins grouped together. Pumpkins are already so neat looking that stacking them together is easy yet eye-catching.

Yep, I have these Spider Larva Balls hanging outside my house! Love them!

Fabulous London Home!

I found this house while browsing freshome today. I love the clean design and easy furniture pieces. Plus they seem to have a thing for alternating the colors of the chairs. Interesting. And the backyard is FANTASTIC!
(all photos from freshome)

This HUGE opening to the backyard is awesome!!!

The dining area is so lovely. Such simple furniture and I love how they alternate the chairs with clear and white. And their little office area is tucked neatly in the corner.
(they used the Victoria Ghost Chair... which we have)

I love the hanging chair. The sofas are simple and again, they alternate colors.
(sofa is similar to our Cynthia Sofa)

The dining room complete with a well stocked bar! And, more color alternating!!
(dining chairs are similar to our Lauren Side Chair)

The kitchen is so white and bright! I love it!

There's a peek of the fabu backyard.

So in love! The pool is gorgeous, all the lush greenery and they have so much seating! LOVE!
(table is just like our Turtle Table Set)

It's such a great outdoor space for entertaining!
(a chair with a canopy?? Colva Canopy Bed)
